Dewey was a philosopher, psychologist and an educational reformer. He was the most famous proponent of hands-on learning or experiential education. He emphasized learning through various activities. He believed children learned more from guided experience than authoritarian instruction. He held that learning is life not just preparation for life.
He considered that it is important to integrate social experience with educational ones. For example when I was at school it was usual to see that some teachers teaching Chemistry by investigating the natural processes involved; and students learning History by experiencing how people lived. These were concrete activities with practical importance in which students participated and felt that they went to school to do things which gave them real, guided experiences.
.The teacher acted as a "midwife", a guide through the process of constructing knowledge.
As a teacher -to-be,I believe that the development of critical, socially engaged intelligence and respect for diversity is very important. We as teachers should respect different ideas.

I agree with you, teachers have to act as a "midwife",to guide and help learners through the process of constructing knowledge.
As teachers to be, I think we should all help and guide our students to develop to their full potential
